Weekly product sync — 3 June
Pricing page copy ships this week as written. The billing migration waits until the audit closes.
Tuesday at ten. Bring the audit’s open items and the pricing page metrics from the first week.
Meeting notes exist to settle an argument before it starts again next week: what was agreed, and whose job it now is. None of that record helps if it takes a day to circulate, so getting it out fast matters as much as getting it right. Whoever was not in the room needs this as much as the people who were — the record has to stand on its own.
An outcome that isn't left in the middle of a paragraph
One short line records what was agreed, set apart from the discussion that led to it, so scanning the notes afterwards finds the outcome without wading back through how the argument got there.
A name already on the action, not a separate assignment
Who is doing something sits inside the line itself, typed as part of the item, so the notes don't need a separate assignee feature to say who owns each follow-up.
A record ready before the meeting is forgotten
The page saves itself roughly every thirty seconds while it is being written, and sharing turns it into a link at once, so the notes can go out minutes after everyone leaves the room instead of once someone finds time to type them up properly.
Whether the decision needed repeating
You see who opened the notes, when, and whether they returned to that part of the notes once they had already moved past it — a better nudge to send than guessing who forgot what was agreed.
An example — not your document. Sections are the document’s own headings.
Most of their attention went to “Checklist” — 2m 10s of 4m 00s.
Time each section spent on screen, counted only while the tab was in front and the reader was active. It shows what was in front of them, not what they read.
This page is about what a meeting notes has to do. For the blocks the editor is built from — see the editor.
There's no assignee field — write the owner's name as part of the line, the way you would in notes taken by hand. It travels with the document wherever it's shared, unlike a task tied to someone's account in a separate tool.
Only inside a comment thread on the document — mentioning someone there emails them. A name typed into the notes themselves, as an owner on a line, sends nothing on its own.
As fast as you can type and share — the document saves itself as you go, and a share link is ready the moment you create one. There's no publishing step in between.
