Three teams, one date, and the two questions a launch plan is really opened for: are we on track, and what is blocked.

A launch plan is not read like a document. It is opened in a hurry, mid-week, to answer one question. This template puts the date and the blockers where someone scanning will find them, and keeps the detail below for the people who need it.
Timeline
the phases against the date everything is measured from
Task lists
owners and readiness, per team
Matrix grid
risks weighed against impact
Tabs
one team per tab, so the plan stays one document
Diagram
the launch sequence
Variable fields
the launch date, everywhere, from one entry
Send the document as a link rather than an attachment and it reports back: when it was opened, which sections held attention and for how long, what was skipped, and whether the reader came back on a later day.
It measures what was on screen and for how long. It cannot tell you whether someone read a word, and it does not claim to — and every recipient can see exactly what is recorded, from a link on the document itself.
Either. It is written as an internal plan, but it shares like any other document — useful when the launch is a client’s and they want to see the state of it.
