One-pager document maker

A one-pager gets exactly the two minutes between two meetings, and it either lands in that window or it does not.

The ask

One page: what we are launching, who it is for, and the one thing the campaign must make them feel.

What success looks like

Ten thousand sign-ups from the campaign page by the end of the quarter, and a cost per sign-up under four pounds.

What it has to do

A one-pager has to make its whole case before anyone scrolls: the headline, the number that matters, and the one piece of evidence for it, close enough together to take in at a glance. A live view of a design or a file replaces a screenshot that would already be a version behind, and a brief that runs long has already failed the one job this format has. This is written for someone who decided, before opening it, exactly how long they would give it.

What one-pager software owns

The whole case without a second screen

A one-pager fits on one screen by design: the headline, the number, and the evidence for it sit close enough together to take in without opening anything else. Nothing in the editor enforces the limit — a one-pager only earns the name when the writer keeps it.

One live file, not a stack of separate attachments

A one-pager carries exactly one live view of a design or a source file — a Figma frame, most often — rather than a folder of attachments a reader has to work through to find the one that actually matters, so the case and its evidence sit in the same document.

Whether it held them the two minutes it needs

Its own headings show how much of that time went where, and whether they opened it a second time after the first pass — the honest version of knowing a one-pager did its job: not that it finished, but that it held for as long as the format asks.

What tracking shows for this document type

An example — not your document. Sections are the document’s own headings.

Where their attention went

Most of their attention went to “Cover” — 2m 23s of 4m 00s.

Cover2m 23s
Numbers1m 37s

Time each section spent on screen, counted only while the tab was in front and the reader was active. It shows what was in front of them, not what they read.

How it is built

This page is about what a one-pager has to do. For the blocks the editor is built from — see the editor.

Questions

Does Quixli enforce a one-page limit?

No — nothing in the editor stops a document from running long. Keeping it to one screen is a discipline the writer keeps, not a limit anything sets.

Can I put something other than Figma on a one-pager?

Yes — any of the ten kinds of live file the editor supports works the same way here. Figma is simply the one most one-pagers reach for, since it is usually a design or a mock a client is deciding on.

Is there a one-pager template?

Not yet — start from a blank document; a live Figma view, a headline number, and a warning set apart from the rest of the page all work from the first line you write.
